about
“You can't help it. An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times.” - Nina Simone
I used to brag (at least be able to) to my friends, colleagues, and family that Cameroon was the most peaceful African nation. Cameroon has witstood peace untill late 2016 when all hell has broke lose. We are hurting as English speaking Cameroonians under the hands of a government and system dominated by French speaking Cameroonians who dont care about us. "To all those saying that the protesters in Southern Cameroon should have waited to protest and to demand change, please remember that naturally, the human body is never meant to be in bondage. So when it sees the slightest opportunity to escape it's chains, it seizes that opportunity. There is never a set or perfect time to seek Freedom. Freedom demands an audience and Freedom is often restless till that demand is met.
Please also remember that peace is not only marked by the absence of war. Peace is the absence of struggle, strife, and pain. So NO, Cameroon has never been a peaceful nation, especially Southern Cameroon." - Jason Nkwain.
